To all our members from President Gurnam Basran
May I wish each of you and your families a "Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2020 “.
Please accept my heartfelt thanks for all your help in taking me through the first half of my “presidential “ year.
I know I would not have coped without the support of each dedicated member of this very special Rotary club.

It was very much "Ladies Night" at our Club Meeting on 21 November when President Gurnam inducted two new lady members into Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Club. The evening was enhanced by the presence of our District Governor David Hood. The two ladies in question were Sarah Kulmer, sponsored by Rotarian Kath Bridge and Dr Judith Grant, sponsored by our President.

At our meeting on 14 November President Gurnam invested Steve Burns as our Vice-President for 2019-20. Despite being a member for only a short period of time, Steve has kindly stepped in to fill this vacancy and we look forward to his Presidential year in 2021-22. Many thanks Steve.

Our 31st Charter Dinner was held at the Kenwood Hall Hotel on Saturday 19th October 2019. The theme for the evening was ‘All Things Indian’ and 127 guests, including children, enjoyed a wonderful Indian meal. President Gurnam Basran’s Address was very illuminating, giving us an insight into Indian culture and history and how his own family had been established in the UK.

On 10th October a group of members and guests visited the factory for a tour of the Visitor Centre and production facilities.

At our meeting on 3 October our President Gurnam Basran inducted Tony Eden as a new member of Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Club. We wish Rotarian Tony many enjoyable years as a member of our club.

At the Speaker Meeting on 19 September the speakers were three young people sponsored by our Club to attend the Rotary Leadership Residential Course in Buxton. The three young people were Libby Meadows, Lauren Hollingsworth-Smith and Mia Hollingsworth-Smith. The background to our sponsorship is as follows:-
