The Fellowship meeting last night 3 September was a quiz night with an International theme and including some (singalong) music. As usual I was left thinking how little general knowledge I have (must watch more tv quiz shows). The winner with a very commendable score was Martin Davis.

Our support for Rotherham Foodbank and other local charities during the Covid-19 pandemic has been recognised by our local MP's. We have received congratulatory messages from Alexander Stafford, MP for Rother Valley, John Healey, MP for Wentworth and Dearne and Sarah Champion, MP for Rotherham. Their messages are attached.

Last week's meeting on 20th August was a speaker meeting and was given by Steve Prosser of Rotherham food bank. As has been widely reported both online, in the Rotherham Advertiser and Rotherham Community Life Magazine, Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Club has been supporting the Rotherham Foodbank during the covid-19 pandemic.

Many thanks to Michelle Scholey of Voluntary Action Rotherham for publicising our Foodbank work on their website.

It's been 20 weeks now since we last met at the Carlton Park Hotel and for almost every week we have held a meeting on Zoom.
A few weeks back we tried our first Speaker Meeting using Zoom when Professor Derick Rosario provided an excellent and informative presentation about the work of the Sheffield and District Urostomy Association.

Another week of deliveries of food and clothing to Rotherham Foodbank.
It's difficult to appreciate how much clothing there was from the photo.
Once again Morrisons Supermarket have been very generous. For our £500 purchase Morrisons gave us £1100 worth as top-up. Thank you again Morrisons.

Message from President Trish. This photo was taken last Tuesday and shows clothing donations from residents on the Duke of Norfolk Estate for Rotherham Foodbank. Trish said "We have an even bigger donation for tomorrow but will have to call a temporary halt as my house is being taken over!"
