Our sleigh and Santa were also present when Firbeck switched on their Christmas lights.

On 25 November President Steve Burns attended the opening of the Social Supermarket in their new premises on Corporation Street. Also present from the club were Rotarians Martin Davis, Trish Lister and Roger Green.

On Saturday 20th November we took the mobile float to Wickersley and joined in the celebration of the Wickersley lights switch- on. It was a very enjoyable evening both for us and the children who queued to see Santa and have their photos taken with him. In addition santa was also so giving out presents which was a new venture for us.

The 2021 Charter Night took place on 30th October at Sitwell Park Golf Club. It was a real pleasure to return to a formal evening event and enjoy the good food and good company, joined by members of our Mother Club Rotherham, Rotherham Round Table and Rotherham Continuity (41) Club.

Two prospective nurses from Rotherham have received a boost for their studies following support from Rotherham Sitwell Rotary. In early September, Caitlin Cooper of Thomas Rotherham College received a bursary for nursing and now a second student, this time from Rotherham College, has received financial support to kick start her studies.

Members visited the Chantry Brewery on 23rd September for a beer tasting and barbecue. The beer tasting was compered by President Steve and we sampled a number of beers from light ales through to stouts. We then enjoyed a barbecue. A big thank you to President Steve and his CAMRA colleagues for organising the event.
