Start a Heart

Great publicity for our supported charity Start-A-Heart. A full page in the Rotherham Advertiser. Wow. Congratulations and well done to Immediate Past President Trish, Carrie, Roger and everyone involved in the charity.

Bank Holiday Sunday saw the annual Family Fun Day at the Woodman Pub in Woodlaithes Village in aid of Start-a-Heart 24:7, one of our supported charities. Blessed by glorious weather, the day was a resounding success enjoyed by lots of families. Trustee Trish Lister and also our President-Elect this year sent the following message to the club members.

Start a Heart, one of our supported charities, has been in the news again recently.
The first two photos were taken at the installation of a Start a Heart defibrillator outside Rotherham Town Hall. The NCS students in the photo raised £1000 to pay for the defibrillator and Start a Heart financed the cabinet.

We managed to support our much loved charity Start-A-Heart 24:7 at their Family Fun Day. The weather wasn’t supporting it though; it decided to deliver us the much needed rain on that day, no other day just that one. I’m happy to report that it didn’t deter people from getting involved and enjoying the day as much as possible. It was nice to see they managed to raise £3,300 on the day too.

Rotherham United are delighted to have been chosen as the 100th community supported by local charity Start-a-Heart 24:7, who have raised money to have the milestone defibrillator installed at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
