Five of us ventured over to the District Conference at Scarborough. The three Amigos, Trish and I thought it would be rude not to take in some of the sights whilst we were there. Being President I insisted that a visit to RNLI was a religion I wasn't about to break and so ensured this was our first stop.

Start a Heart, one of our supported charities, has been in the news again recently.
The first two photos were taken at the installation of a Start a Heart defibrillator outside Rotherham Town Hall. The NCS students in the photo raised £1000 to pay for the defibrillator and Start a Heart financed the cabinet.

Well - Joe and Danny have done it and all on schedule! The sensory room is now completed and available for the children and young people with very limited communication skills. The grand opening was on Tuesday 23 October with a number of visitors. Unfortunately although scheduled to attend, the Prime Minister of Romania was re-scheduled and was unable to attend.

Steve Wylie of Shiloh, one of our supported charities, addressed the members of the Club on Thursday 18 October, and talked about the non-residential day support that Shiloh offers to the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless.

The little and large versions of Joe and Danny are off on their journey to Bârlad, Romania to transport and then install their fourth sensory room. This time, the sensory room will be in the Children’s’ Hospital in Bârlad which cares for children and young adults with severe sensory and communication disorders including autism, Down's Syndrome, speech and mobility difficulties.
