At the Speaker Meeting on 19 September the speakers were three young people sponsored by our Club to attend the Rotary Leadership Residential Course in Buxton. The three young people were Libby Meadows, Lauren Hollingsworth-Smith and Mia Hollingsworth-Smith. The background to our sponsorship is as follows:-

At our Fellowship Meeting on 5 September Rotherham's Mayor Councillor Jenny Andrews was inducted as an Honorary Member of Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Club by our President Gurnam Basran. Jenny was accompanied by the Deputy Mayor Jeanette Mallinder.

Although belated news, it is worth reporting that on 17 July President Gurnam presented prizes and certificates to pupils at Flanderwell School who had achieved 100% attendance. Pictured with him, Rotarian Phil Crutchley and the pupils is Vinnie from Rotherham United Community Trust.

Bank Holiday Sunday saw the annual Family Fun Day at the Woodman Pub in Woodlaithes Village in aid of Start-a-Heart 24:7, one of our supported charities.
