Charity Donations

A number of donations were made recently to our supported charities. On 17th February, President Yogesh Bhimpuria and Community Chairman Roger Green presented a cheque for £1200 to Trish Lister of Start A Heart 24/7 at the Carlton Park Hotel. She has kindly sent a thank you letter to our club and she also mentioned that they are working with the 39th community for the provision of vital life-saving equipment.
On 18th February, the President and our Immediate Past President Graham Hudson presented a cheque for £1200 to Mark Smith, Safe@Last’s Operations Manager. On the same day in the afternoon they also presented a cheque for £1200 to representatives of the Autistic Society. Photographs of the presentations are attached.
A further donation of £200 has been made to Christine Redford, a recent guest speaker at our Club, who works as a volunteer at Northern General Hospital in Sheffield and does tremendous work.
And finally, the Sitwell Belles have donated the £215 which we collected in lieu of Christmas cards to Bluebell Wood Hospice.
